Munro Glamping Bunkie
Beautiful insulated glamping bunkie on 3 wooded acres off Hwy 6 Hepworth.
Bunkie has a double bed, side table, bar fridge, keurig, microwave, & a comfy chair. You can self check-in &out. Bunkie has one electrical box and a heater. Outhouse with a compost toilet available. Indoor shower &sink with hot running water in separate building. Property connects to Northern Dunes Golf Club. 1min from Tim Hortons, 7min from Sauble Beach & Wiarton. ALL backgrounds welcome. 420 friendly.
This bunkie offers "glamping" at its finest. It is separate from the main house and entirely yours for the duration of your stay.
Inside there is a microwave and bar fridge for your use.
Outside, there is a compost toilet in an outhouse. Currently the outdoor shower and sink are closed for the winter but water is available for handwashing.
There is also an outdoor kitchenette beneath a gazebo (with a roof, but not fully enclosed), equipped with a kettle, a coffee maker, a water dispenser, a very small fridge containing milk and cream, and complimentary coffee and tea. There are also tuck shop items for sale, including firewood.
Both the washroom and kitchenette are shared with other guests, but cleaned and sanitized often.
Your bunkie has a picnic table and propane BBQ outside. Propane is supplied. There is also a large communal firepit in the open space outside the bunkies and we sell firewood onsite. In winter, you may need to shovel the snow out of the firepit. You are welcome to use one of our shovels should you wish to do that.
Make sure you check out the "Secret Garden" - follow the path into the woods beside the "Wagamese Bunkie". There is a hammock and benches in garden (depending on the season).
Bed linens, towels, soap and shampoo are provided.
Wifi is available, but it comes from the main house via a wifi extender, so it will not work for streaming. The bunkie is lit with portable battery operated lamps. You can find replacement batteries in the outdoor kitchen. There is also one electrical outlet and a small heater inside the bunkie. Please note that the bunkie will be cool even with the heater if the weather outside is cold so come prepared with extra blankets (we supply sheets, a quilt and a comforter) if you are concerned about temperature. You should treat this like camping except with walls.
There is no smoking inside but the property is 420 friendly.
**As the Covid-19/Coronavirus situation continues around the world, we understand that you may wish to isolate yourself from others. You can self check-in and self-isolate as well if you are willing to forgo using the shared facilities on the property and treat this like a more traditional camping experience. Feel free to bring along a portable toilet and a container for water (as you might do while camping), if you are uncomfortable using the shared facilities. If you do make this choice, then it is possible to avoid all contact with other people, including your hosts, while you are here.
Parking is available. You have full access to our 3 acre property, except the garage and the main house, which is our personal residence. Feel free to go anywhere else on the property, including the Secret Garden in the woods. Please maintain 6.5 feet of social distance or more. It’s best to just wave to people right now.
Please note the following: Our property is located off highway 6, so you can hear the traffic. There is a compost toilet, an outdoor shower, an outdoor sink, and an outdoor kitchenette. This is a rustic setup - it's a glamping experience - if you are expecting a fancy hotel, this isn't it. ;) Important: Our properties are protected by SUPERHOG, the digital trust platform that enables hosts, operators and guests to confidently transact in the short-term rentals space. Please note that once you have booked, you will be required to verify yourself with SUPERHOG.
