Modern cottage nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas near Yosemite National Park.
The cottage sits on the open range just outside the town of Oakhurst, CA, the Southern Gateway to Yosemite National Park. Here you will be worlds away from the hustle and bustle of city life without giving up modern conveniences. Our fully appointed cottage has been thoughtfully designed with your comfort in mind.
The cottage has fiber-connected internet access for reliable and fast connection. Wifi is located throughout the unit and usually reaches the back porch.
The kitchen includes a dishwasher, gas stove and convection oven, microwave/convection oven, large fridge and freezer unit with water dispenser. Water is fully filtered well water providing clean drinking water from all faucets.
Both bedrooms include a gel-infused hybrid mattress, bamboo pillows, and cotton sheets for a comfortable nights rest. Each room includes a Smart TV with wi-fi access, a lounging chair, and USB-enabled clock radios to allow you to unwind in your personal space.
The master bedroom features a King bed, private entrance, and en suite bathroom. The vanity can be a handy workstation if you need to shut the door and get some work done. This room is large enough to set up the queen size air mattress making a perfect spot for bunking the kids or a small family.
Our queen bedroom features a beautiful view of an old growth Live Oak that can't be missed. This room is the perfect spot to recharge with a palette inspired by early morning rainbows and playfulness. Grab your favorite book and cozy up in the reading chair while you enjoy the lazy afternoon rays. Our favorite thing to do in the room? Have a friend call you on our nostalgic land-line phone and catch up like your teenagers in the 90s!
Air mattresses are provided for additional sleeping space. We stock one queen air mattress (mentioned above) and two twins. We find someone always passes out in the recliner, so we made sure to put an extra pillow in the blanket in the closet for them too.
Enjoy access to acres of private walking/multi-use trails and climbing rocks. Throughout the property, you will be able to enjoy peace and quiet away from judging eyes.
Important: Our properties are protected by SUPERHOG, the digital trust platform that enables hosts, operators and guests to confidently transact in the short-term rentals space. Please note that once you have booked, you will be required to verify yourself with SUPERHOG.

Availability
Ahwahnee is 10 North on CA-49. They have a family restaurant, Quick Mart (apple pay at the gas pump), a Post Office, and the Ahwahnee Park featuring walk/bike/horse trails. Oakhurst is a 15-minute drive. There you will find 3 grocers, several restaurants and gift shops, yoga studio, massage, float spa, ATV & 4x4 rentals, art galleries, and much more. Coarsegold is 30 minutes by car. Stop here to visit Old Town Village for craft vendors and the unmissable Wild Fig restaurant. Robert's Frosty and Chukchansi Casino are also located here. The Casino is 21+, open 24 hours. Mariposa is 30 minutes North. We love going here for homemade pies at Jantz Bakery, 1850 Brewery and exploring the beautiful frontier style main street. The stores are filled with good from local crafters and artisans as well as modern supply shops. Our recommend, grab a bottle of Costa's blackberry balsamic vinegar. Yosemite is 40 minutes to South Gate/ Wawona, and 1.5 hours to the Valley. We are located off the Golden Chain Hwy so you can enter through one gate and circle through the park to return. It makes a great auto tour for those with limited mobility.

HOUSE RULES
No tobacco smoke indoors. Yes, you can empty your blunt wrap and fill it with herb, but any mixing please take it to the patio because the smell is difficult to remove from indoors. No outdoor fires during May-October. This is a high fire area, not following fire protocol will be cause for immediate eviction. All events must be pre-approved by host. We allow small gatherings at the cottage and on property by arrangement, please contact us if you have any requests.
HOST'S INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
Hosts will greet you at check-in. From there we let you take the lead. Want to be left alone in the woods? Cool by us. Like to join us for a late afternoon sesh on the trails, we're up for that too! Always available by text for issues and/or recomendations.
CANCELLATION
Guests have the right to a full refund if cancelling within 24 hours of booking. Within 14 days of arrival , Guests receive a 50% refund. After this time, the full cost of the booking will apply.
Identification
Don't forget to bring your government issued, photo ID as your host may want to check it.
PETS
The host allows for Pets at an extra cost.

The kitchen is stocked with essential pantry items and a variety of snack and quick meal options. Typical stock: pasta and sauce, rice and beans, cereal, oatmeal, baking mix (brownies, cake, or cookies), granola bars, ramen noodles, mac and cheese, instant potatoes, etc.

The fridge is stocked with basics for quick arrival snack or breakfast. Items may include milk, orange juice, eggs, frozen pizza or entree, popsicles and/or ice cream, and sometimes alcohol. Anything in the Fridge/Freezer is free range for your consumption..
